Sins

Amir being the one that always is the one to fight back take a stand and be the man has one of the biggest sins on his back. After watching what went on to his friends Hassan and not standing up for him watching everything that went down without saying a word or at least trying to make it come to an end. Really needs to be amended because mainly because no one knew he was there and that he even knew it would be much more worst if he didn't do anything which he still ended up doing. I don't know how you can look at your friend the same know it was all your fault that your friend got sexually abused and you was there to watch it. To me there isn't really much that can be done to make it better like once it happened its over with you can't go back and time and then prevent it.

Mistakes
There was this one track meet that I was running the four by four hundred relay and it was so late at night. My body was slowly shutting down, and I was so exhausted. But in my mind I knew i could knock this out with easy but my body was telling me no. So as my race was coming but I was leaning towards my bodies side not to go all out in the race. So it was getting closer and closer. Soon I was on the track and it was either go out or not run it at full speed. Before I knew it the gin went off so I jogged it then go in so much trouble by my coach because we had the opportunity to easily win the race. I regret no running at my best because I never will know when my last race will be.

Slam
Walter Dean Myers wrote Slam! It won a Coretta Scott King Award, American Library Association Best Book for Young Adults, and a New York Pubic Library Book for the Teenager. This book should be pretty interesting because I like sports books and the title really pulls me in to read the book. What does slam mean? Why is the kid looking through looking through the fence. The back of the book talks about a 17 year old boy named Greg Slam Harris the was the best basketball player. It talks about how he wants to make it to the top but things will get n his way like his grades. Then he has to face his life without the ball in hand.

Lets Get Em

Patrolling the lands of the Iranian territories Srg. Marshall got an call for an attack on the enemy lines. At first he was walking around the area guarding their fortress from invaders when he received the call. With all the rigid terrain and all the huge rock he managed to leap over all of them without injuring himself. He sprinted like he was running a race, he was the best sharp shooter they had for that platoon. The calls kept coming in Srg began running at his fastest not knowing how far he would have to run. On the speaker his command chief gave him directions by land marks. Marshall began to get really exhausted with his heavy boots that were also being weighed down by all the mud he was running through he finally reached the action jumping right into the heat of guns firing left and right.

Do no harm

Thinking about the quote I sort of agree with it, because for the evil to triumph good will have to let them pass. This makes me think of some people fighting, if there was on person that gives up then the other person would win they would feel great but knowing that there wasn't any harm done between the two really over comes weather who won or who lost. So when it really comes down to it good is the true winner letting evil bask in it so called victory.

What to do

When I make a decision I think how will this affect me later on. I look at situations like if i go left what would of happened if I went right and what is different from going left then the right side. I am a very critical person that thinks about the good and the bad from everything in situations. I would have to look at both sides of the story before I make a decision. Even if I make my decision I still think back about did I make the right one. Then to situations like college I look at the price, place, and mainly the location of where it is at. Those are the main factors in making my decisions for college.

Spring Break
Spring break was filled with many goods and bads for me. I had many good things like family time and hung out with some of my friends. But the most exciting thing I did was buy Call of Duty 4. This is one of the best things that ever happened to me in my life. Then to the bad, I had the worst track meet of my life. I did terrible, embarrass, and also disappointed my dad.

WOW!

Richie and his crew were ordered to go back to their village, and as they approach the site they seen that the Vietcong had invaded and killed there Americans. They seen dead body on the ground, going into one of the huts the Vietcong was still in the village Richie seen a miss fire from one of their guns and he shoots him from point blanks and kills him. This REALLY surprised me because I wouldn't think he would kill someone, I would think he was let someone else shoot away. Also what surprised me was his shot, how he killed him with one shot. But I could predict his reaction after he shot the man. He talked about what the man was thinking and what was he fighting for. He was acting like a little wimp because he and another soldier slept together for mutual comfort. Then he wrote a letter to his brother Kenny and had no clue what to say he said no words cause he couldn't explain the feelings that he was going threw at the time when he killed the Vietcong man.
I knew it
Like I said for the previous I knew that he wouldn't grow into a man. In this chapter he talked about at this point in the war he needs his mom. I knew that he wouldn't over come that he can not be around his mom and he is getting really home sick. Also him and his friends regret enlisting themselves in the army. I knew that they would all began to say it soon or later. Thats all they talked about crying to the other soldiers about how this is horrifying and there is so much killing and the dead bodies with all the American soldiers dying that they was close to. Richie needs to just become a man, I have never been in the army but if I sign up for it knowing what I'm getting myself into I would go all out and not whine about it to all the other soldiers.
Actions

I have been noticing that Richie has not been have a really good life. I noticed that he is really scared and he doesn't really know what to do because there is no where to go. He talks about his how he doesn't want the people from the other countries to think that he is a killer or threat to them. But he is not seeing that this is what he signed up for, he did this for the better for himself not for other people. This should help him grow and become a strong adult instead of losing or wasting his life in the streets of Harlem. Throughout the chapter its doesn't seem like he is growing up it seems to me that he is growing more scared everyday.

Incorrect

From my last post about how I think he is going to leave or find his way out the the war was wrong. He ended up staying in but he met two American red cross works and they talked to him about what he was going to do when he got home. He though back about the high school days and how in school one time he and his guidance counselor was talking and he said how he wanted to be a philospher and the counselor just laughed at he. So now when someone asks him a question he feels every uncomfortable to say anything or express him feelings.
Prediction
After reading about all the killing that was going on I think that Richie will soon drop out of the army or try to change his position because he is so scared and frightened about all is friend in his platoon dying and never seeing them again. I think that all the talking he does will soon wear off on the other young troops around him. They will all soon want to go home crying to their mothers.
Regret
Richie has heard about three people dying in his patrol. This really scares the mess out of him, he quickly worries about how himself like what if he dies and his family at home. He thinks about the other guys families. He talks to the other soldiers and they tell him to chill out because he is over reacting about the whole situation. They tried there best to calm him down but he soon regrets entering the war. For all that he should of known what the effects was going to be.
Marriage

One of Richie friends named peewee got a letter from his wife say she married someone else because he was gone away for to long. I was really surprised that this happened because that really meant that she didn't really love him because she would of had waited for him and wait until he came back from the war.

Reality

In this chapter Richie faces many scary things. All the elements of war really started setting in on him and his other younger buddies. As a teenager he really is facing a lot and is getting hit by a lot at once. All the heroic thoughts he Had were blown out the window and thoughts like fear quickly took over him and the other younger soldiers. He goes back thinking about how he was shelter and and innocent before he come to the war.
Pain
Richie the main character didn't know what to do with his life the lived in the bad streets of Harlem and had no future. He had no help so he decided to enlist him self in the army. He thought that the Vietnam War would be over by time the was done all the training, but things quickly changed. He ended up getting injuring his knee playing basketball, he though he would be out of combat until he got better but he ended up going to nam anyway. He didn't even know how to shoot a gun at the time. In pain he travels across heading towards the war.
Relating the Book to Class

this book relates to a lot of the things we were talking about during class. This book reminds me of a book that I read in class called the Color of Water. because there is a kid that doesn't know what to do with his life and his parents aren't there to lead him and help him in building his life. Also this relates to the topic of invisibility, because it seemed to me that he didn't mean anything to anyone not even his own family.

Cuzco Peru
Take a look at the video and then write what you think about it make comments about how u think life is there and their culture.
I chose this video to make a do now because this gives a little preview to what Cuzco has to offer and show a little about their culture and all the land structure that still stand to this day. What I really want people to get of this is to show the the culture that is in Cuzco.

His impact
Che wanted to become at the beginning of his a doctor. Becoming a medical student was his key target in life as a young man. But at the end of his journey he didn't turn out to be what he started at but he probably had a bigger impact on the world then he expected to be. He also showed that he could do things and changed the world in a harsh but good way to get his point through.

Easy way
I think that taking the easy way would be better then taking the hard way because taking the hard way would only make things harder then it is sometimes. Also that the easy way could help and find out more new things then struggling when taking the hard way to things. Sometimes the easy way is hard for others and for some not but when you look at it the easy way is always there for the back up and takes less thinking. The easy way is the coasting way.

Usain Bolt
If I were to make a documentary on someone it would be Usain Bolt because there are so many things that happened in his life and there is so much to talk about. He had nothing and now he is the fastest man in the world at a very young age. He is running he world slowly. He was a young Jamaican boy that probably never thought he would make it so far but giving that one opportunity that he took just exploded his name and face not just in Jamaican but all across the world. A young Jamaican setting the fastest time in the world. There is so much to tell about his life and all the things he did too get to the spot he is at now. Not just making another face on the Jamaican team but making it known that they are the fastest in the entire world. At the summer Olympics in 2008 people add already set who they thought was going to win. Usain is a young man couldn't take anything serious playing around all before during and after the race. He blew the competition out and set a world record that could of been faster. He had his hands up celebrating about 10 meters to go and still won the race and also breaking the record.

Che's Life
If i was to write a book about che and his life i would write it about why he chose to follow this path and not another one that would be better for him as a person. I would hit the main reasons why and talk about the main problems be had and the decision that he had to make.

He never lied
In the response to the video of Che, Beck never said anything that wasn't true. What he was saying about the the kids that just wearing the shirts is true because i know kids just like the shirt just because they think its cool not even knowing anything behind it. I really liked wen he was being so sarcastic about everything he was saying like if made all sense for these kids to think he is somebody to look up to. I totally agree with everything he was saying, I thought if anyone has a shirt like he was explaining will think the next time before they buy another shirt. Che really wasn't big at all he was behind someone else so it really makes no sense to make a shirt about him at all.
